7-9 Months

Let me guess...

7 to 9 months can be a confusing age. It's a whirlwind time of discoveries and emotions. Your little one is still your adorable baby, but you're starting to notice those first hints of toddler sass creeping in, right?

  • Are they starting to get impatient if you're not quick enough with their food? Their newfound insistence is all part of the fun.

  • And then there's nap time... has it become a battleground? Maybe you're starting to worry that they're always overtired, and you're in a constant race to catch up on lost sleep?

  • Perhaps persistent cat napping is a regular obstacle for you?

  • Will they only fall asleep or link sleep cycles in your arms or while being fed?

  • Are you feeling the annoyance of being nap-trapped in the day with no time to yourself in the evening either?

  • Or perhaps they're resisting naps or refusing the afternoon one completely?

  • And then there's night time still to contend with. Are you struggling to get them to stay in their cot all night?

  • Or perhaps you enjoy the co-sleeping but you're not so keen on the all the all-night milk fest that's been going on lately.

  • Perhaps your little one has no interest in breakfast because they've been feasting on milk all night?

These are just a few of the reasons that parents reach out to me for support with infant sleep between 7-9 months. If this sounds like your situation read on. Let me help you to make sense of it all.

Looking for attachment focused, common sense reassurance during this new and challenging stage of infancy? If so, you're in the right place.

Free Drop-In Group

If you are within driving distance of the Mornington Peninsula, why not come and meet me at the Frankston South Early Parenting drop-in group.  Here we provide FREE support with pregnancy/postpartum health questions, feeding, infant sleep & more. I'm joined here every week by a dedicated team of fellow volunteers, including professionals in midwifery, lactation consulting, counselling, post-partum support and more.  Here in a warm and supportive group setting parents share their questions, concerns... and big-wins too!

Why not come and pick our brains. Need help with feeding?  Does your newborn seem uncomfortable? Are they unable relax into sleep?  Maybe you have a toddler who is awake in the night for hours, or perhaps you need some guidance on how to drop a nap without throwing your day into chaos.  Whatever the question, just drop-in to join our group session, and tell us all about it. We'd love to see you.

Private 1:1 Support

Ideal if you are experiencing sleep challenges that have been the main event for a few weeks or more. Let me help you with the overwhelm by breaking down your goals into a gradual process of small achievable steps that we work on together, week by week.

If you have just a handful of questions and would like some reassurance about your baby's sleep or behaviour, my Basic 1hr phone consult might be all you need for now.  Ideal for troubleshooting the answers to a few questions concerning any aspects of your child's sleep, feeding patterns, development or current routine.

Ideal if you like the idea of my standard package but you'd also like your initial consultation in the relaxed surroundings of your own home.  Perhaps you are at a loss concerning how your baby communicates or what they need.  This option is perfect if you would like me to see your situation or your child's sleep behaviour, first hand.

What happens after you book

Once I see your appointment pop up in my calendar, I'll send you an SMS to confirm.

Please double check your contact details when booking.

I will then email through an intake questionnaire to help me gather useful insights into your situation.  This is a shared Google document that you will be able to edit.  It saves changes automatically so you can complete it a little at a time if you need to.  There will be no need to copy it or email it back to me.  As a shared document, changes are immediate, live and available for us both to see.  You will have continued access to this document.

“After a 5 night residential stay at 6mth old, I thought we had cracked our daughter's sleep habits. But at 13mth it changed again and we experienced 5 months of split nights, with wakes from 1-3hrs at a time. Our daughter was on an age-appropriate schedule, napped well during the day and loved her food. We couldn't work it out...." read more
